Welcome to the fi rst edition of Phenom, the Magazine for Volleyball Players! Phenomis a publication of the American Volleyball Coaches Association. With over 5,000 coaches nationwide, the AVCA is the largest organization of volleyball coaches in the country. The AVCA is the nation’s leader in volleyball coaching education, and now we want to help educate you, the player, as well! Here is what we hope you will gain from reading Phenom. 1.
