Guidelines for Dot Whacking HOST PIECE (for machineable production) • Minimumsize: Digest • Maximumsize: Tabloid • Roll size: 3" score • Maximum diameter: 12" DOT • Minimumsize: 3/4" • Maximumsize: 2 1/4" • Minimum gap between dots: ___" PLACEMENT POSITION • On book:Cover 1 or 4 • On polybag: Front or Back of book or seamside of polybag • Must be placed prior to polybagging book ADDITIONAL NOTES • Do not order any dot whackmaterial without checking with your Customer AccountManager because there is specific unwind information depending on the Jog Direction of you book. JogDirection is very important if you have supplied inserts. • Automatic slowdown of 15%to dot whack in-line. If there is a small quantity requested, wemight suggest doing it by hand. Tis would allowmore flexibility in placement, but would involve additional costs. IMPORTANT AngstromGraphics should approve the samples for any production issues.
